Need team snack bag ideas for your kid’s next game? Here’s exactly what I packed for 10 ten-year-olds on my kid’s soccer team: one drink and three snacks each, $32.63 total, with an AI agent building the Walmart pickup cart.
Our coach sends out a weekly sign-up sheet, and parents take turns bringing snacks after the game. Some parents bring one snack for the whole team, and a lot of them make bags too. I wanted each kid to get their own bag with a little variety, and the store doesn’t really sell anything like that.
So I put the bags together myself. The shopping took one conversation with an AI agent, and packing the bags took about 15 minutes.
This post is all about team snack bag ideas you can buy in one trip and pack in 15 minutes.
What should I put in team snack bags?
For a quick after-game snack, one drink and three snacks per kid is plenty. Here’s the mix I went with:
- A drink
- A bag of popcorn
- Something with protein
- Something sweet
Buy packs that cover your whole team, so every bag gets the same thing and nobody’s left out. All four of my items came in packs of 10 or more.

Here’s what went in each of our bags. Prices are from my Walmart pickup order in October 2026, so check your store for current prices.

I used brown paper bags I already had at home, so I didn’t buy any packaging.
How I had an AI agent build the cart
I used Muse, Meta’s AI agent, for the shopping. I don’t write structured prompts. I talked to it the way I’d talk to a person: I need 10 snack bags, I want to spend about $30, and each kid gets an Honest juice box, a bag of popcorn, a beef jerky stick and some kind of fruit snacks. I told it that was my idea, but to suggest anything related it could find, show me what my local Walmart had, and try not to go over $35 for all the bags.
It searched Walmart, built a curbside pickup cart and checked with me on a few items along the way. It didn’t need me to sign in to build the cart. I signed in myself to check out and pick a pickup time.
One thing I liked: it passed on a cheaper popcorn on purpose. A 12-count box of microwave popcorn would have dropped the subtotal to $24.89, but those bags aren’t popped, so you can’t drop them in a snack bag. It told me about the trade and let me decide. I kept the ready-to-eat bags.
The subtotal came to $31.89. With $0.74 in tax, the order was $32.63, about $3.26 a bag, and pickup was free. Seeing the full total before checkout is the same habit that helps me stop overspending on groceries.
Copy the prompt
Here’s the same request written as a prompt you can paste and change. Swap in your team size, budget and store.
I'm making snack bags for my kid's soccer team. I need [10] bags and want to spend about [$30], no more than [$35] for everything. I already have bags at home, so I don't need packaging. Each bag gets one drink and three snacks. My idea is [a juice box, a bag of ready-to-eat popcorn, a beef stick and fruit snacks], but suggest other options if they fit better or cost less. Check what my local [Walmart] has for curbside pickup, make sure the pack sizes cover every kid, and show me the cart and total before anything is ordered.
A reminder prompt so you can plan ahead
You don’t have to wait until the week of your turn. When the sign-up sheet comes out, tell your agent what’s coming and let it plan for you.
I'm on snack duty for my kid's soccer team on [date]. Remind me [3 days] before to order snack bags for [10] kids. When you remind me, have a cart ready at [Walmart] with one drink and three snacks per kid, under [$35], for curbside pickup the day before.
Whatever comes back, check the cart and the total yourself before you check out.
Putting the bags together
My daughter helped. We set up an assembly line, each of us in charge of different items, and all 10 bags were done in about 15 minutes. After the game, the kids grabbed their bags and headed out. Snacks after a game are always a hit at this age.
Doing it without an AI agent
The same plan works on your own:
- Count your team and pick one drink and three snacks.
- Shop one store, and buy packs that cover every kid.
- Use pickup so you can see the total and take items out before you pay.
- If you don’t have bags at home, add paper bags to the same order.
- Pack them in an assembly line.

Plan when the sign-up sheet comes out and order a few days before your turn. You can ask an AI agent to remind you and have the cart ready.
No. Plain brown paper bags work fine. That’s what we used.
